One of the most popular genre’s of films that Tamil cinema cananot boast of is the fun-laced road trip movie. Our last sights of such outings have been few and far between. The ones that spring to mind immediately are Venkat Prabhu’s Saroja and Kamal’s Anbe Sivam.
Tapping into this void is first-time director P.T. Selvakumar who has roped in a young and impressive cast for his road-trip movie titled Onbathula Guru. The characters in the movie will be played by Vinay, Sathyan, Premgi, Arvind Akash & Jagan. The ladies in the movie are Shriya Saran and Lakshmi Rai who are reportedly playing important roles.
The technical team includes Chellathurai, a former aide of K.V Anand, on camera. K will be doing the music for the film after his remarkable outing with Mugamoodi. The director promises a light-hearted laugh riot and as the title, Onbathula Guru, suggests the characters are surely in for a ride.
The film is set to go on floors on October 10th with Vijay and Jiiva attending the pooja function.
