Post motherhood, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is slowly getting back to her former self and she has also started appearing in ads and other events. Naturally, the expectations about the former Miss World getting back to films are also high. There were reports that Mani Ratnam would be doing a movie with her, post his Kadal. This movie would be an adaptation of Daphne Du Maurier’s famous 1938 novel Rebecca.
These reports have been rubbished by sources in the know. Suhasini Mani Ratnam, the director's better half has said that still seven days of shoot are left for Kadal and after that the film will go into post production. Mani might start work on his next script only after Kadal releases.
As of now, the rumors of the ace director roping in the former beauty queen, with whom he has done three films till now, are just baseless. All eyes are firmly on Kadal for the time being.
